Myrtle Beach, SC

Day 2 of my sisters visit we went down to Myrtle Beach, SC. It's only a 2 hour and 20 minute drive from our house which isn't really that bad (unless you're pregnant). The drive was beautiful but I was pretty uncomfortable. I'm glad we went though. Unfortunately the weather wasn't ideal but we managed to have a good time regardless. There's lots to do at Myrtle Beach, there's the beach, outlet malls, the boardwalk, and the Ripley's Believe it or Not museum, and the Ripley's aquarium. We just did the beach, boardwalk, and museum. The museum was really cool. I learned how to make a shrunken head! So don't ask me if I'm having twins OR ELSE!

This week...

Jambaas Ranch

My sisters got into town on Thursday. One of the things that they wanted to do while they were here is go to Jambaas ranch. We had a lot of fun and Sadie was so brave to feed all the animals. She let a huge elk nibble on her fingers! There's no way I would do that. Even if they don't have top teeth!

Homemade Samoa's (Caramel de-lights)

I love girl scout cookies. Unfortunately, they keep getting more and more expensive and with that smaller and smaller. I bought a box because I was having major prego cravings for them but they disappeared quickly. Too quickly for my cravings to be completely satisfied. When I saw this recipe I was so happy. I HAD to try it. One word of warning would be to make sure you have a few hours to make these cookies because they are pretty time consuming. But they are totally worth it! Here is the link to the recipe http://bakingbites.com/2008/01/homemade-girl-scout-cookies-samoas/. Follow her advice and get good quality caramels. I didn't and the caramel part didn't stick to the cookie part very well. Oh well, they are still delicious :)
