FEBRUARY 8TH, 2018

Woke up to a clean house feeling exhausted and satisfied. I worked hard yesterday! The satisfaction of having a clean house lasted only a fraction of a second before the kiddos woke and tore through the house like tasmanian devils. They destroy the house as if it's their job. Little monsters. I love them regardless. Kinley took her vacuum for show and tell today because they're studying X, V, and C and I guess it was a huge hit. She was really proud pushing her little vacuum around. It was super cute! While she was at school I went to the gym. I worked hard. Hopefully it pays off. I'm ready to start losing some weight!

The kids came home and we did a movie night and watched Percy Jackson since Sadie has almost finished the first book. She has become a very good reader. I'm proud of her.

Tyson has finally started to show interest in reading which is a huge relief. It was a huge fight for a long time. I finally stopped pushing him and he took initiative on his own. Stubborn little guy.

Sadie snuck out of bed and we painted nails together and listened to music. It was good bonding time for us. Kinley and Tyson have been sleeping in the bed all week. They're either at each others throats or best friends. I don't get it. I haven't heard from Ben for a while which is lonely feeling. I usually enjoy my first few days when he leaves because I get a little catch up time and then the novelty wears off and I just want to kiss his face. I'm bummed that he'll miss Valentines day and his birthday. We had our first date on Valentines day.

February 1st, 2018

Today was rainy. No surprise there. Ben was supposed to call but wasn't able to. I'm worried that I won't be able to talk to him before he goes out into "the field" where he won't have access to a phone. I guess that's how it goes though. The kids have been struggling quite a bit. They have all had a lot of trouble sleeping. Usually one or two of them end up in MY bed which is not ideal. I HATE being touched while I'm trying to sleep so too many kids in the bed is a problem. All three kids had school today. My kids have gotten to the point where they get themselves ready which is AMAZING. Teaching Kinley how to dress herself was the best and easiest thing I've done. Even if she changes 15 times a day. She at least has the decency to put the clothes back in the drawer where Tyson always just threw his stuff on the floor. I went to the gym after Kinley was dropped off at pre-k and literally sat in the parking lot trying to talk myself into working out. I was there for about 20 minutes I think. I'm still super sore from Mondays work out so I did not want to run. I feel good for doing it though. I went to Walmart after for some groceries. I had to rush back though. I don't like to be late because when the teachers release the kids for the day all the kids turn around and yell "MOOOMMMM" and I can't stand the idea of her not having arms to run into. We went on a rainy walk with Missy but we were freezing so came home pretty quickly.

When the kids got home they were super grumpy so it wasn't a great night. Kinley and Tyson cried a lot. Sadie had a play date with Leah so she was happy. They're just missing their Dad. I try to be understanding.
