Tyson's birth story starts on June 8th. I woke up and I was DONE. I decided that I was not spending one more night pregnant. I was so miserable and so BIG. I spent the day doing everything I could think of to induce labor. In the morning Sadie, my Mom, and I went for a long walk. Then I went with to the mall with my friend Dacia (who was due on the 7th) to walk around. When I got home I used primrose oil and a Tbsp of Castor oil. About a half an hour after I drank the Castor oil my contractions started getting pretty painful and I started bleeding so I called the hospital and they told me to come in. I signed in and they sent me to the waiting room. Having some experience with the hospital I knew that I was going to be waiting a very long time to be seen. Even with the bleeding (I hope I never have a real emergency). So while waiting I walked the hall. It got really boring but it kept the contractions going so I didn't mind. After 2 hours of walking they finally checked me and told me I was at a 3-4cm and 50% effaced. They sent me to walk around the hospital for 2 more hours to see if I could get to a solid 4 and if I could they would admit me. So I walked 2 more hours. I was exhausted. I walked for about 6 hours total that day. At 10:30 we headed back. They checked me and I was at a 4 so I got to stay! They wanted to start me on an epidural and pitocin right away but I didn't like the midwife I had so I decided to drag it out until the shift change at 7 am. It was a long, painful night. At 5:45 am I got my Epidural but I asked them to hold off on breaking my water and the pitocin because I wasn't sure how fast it would go and I REALLY didn't want that midwife to have anything to do with me or my baby. At 8:50 am the midwife I had been seeing my whole pregnancy came in and broke my water. I instantly dilated to a 8 and was 100% effaced. It was fun because my friend that I walked around the mall with the day before was there at the same time. We texted the whole time and I heard it over the intercom when they called for the baby nurse. It almost made it into a competition of who would have their baby first. At 10:49 am I was ready to push and at 10:59am he was here! I lost by about 30 minutes. When they put him in my arms it was love at first sight. I laughed when they told me he was 9 pounds 4 ounces and 22 inches long. Such a big boy! Well anyways he's been home for a week now and we all love him more than anything. Here are a few facts about our little (big) Ty:
He farts like a man (as in a lot and it can clear a room, literally I had to stop feeding him once because it was so bad)
He hates being swaddled
He loves music
Sometimes he likes a pacifier but usually turning on some music does the trick
He has a little dimple when he smiles above his lip on the right side of his face
He smiles when you kiss his luscious cheeks
He's really furry
Has long toes and dark hair making his Dad wonder where he came from
He started out with his days and nights mixed up but the last two nights he has slept like a champ
He wakes up in the morning happy not crying
He only really cries when he is hungry
He adores his big sister
He loves to have his hair washed
He is a really good eater
