39 Weeks!

I'm 39 weeks and my pregnancy app says my baby is the size of a small watermelon.  They fail to mention that the outside looks like a large watermelon!  I served as a great visual to promote birth control for groups of teens at the movie theater on Saturday.  There was a LOT of pointing, whispering, and LOLing.  One lady even stopped her car and rolled down her window to say something to me.  I don't know what she said because I was too embarrassed to look at her.  I felt like I was in Jr high again.  It gave me a new appreciation for kids that get bullied.  I don't know why people have to be so mean.  I get so excited to think that I could be holding my baby any day now.  It'll all be worth it then. 

Last night the contractions were REALLY painful so I took a long bubble bath to slow things down.  Now that it's so close to my mom and sister getting here I might as well just wait if I can.  Also, I didn't want Tyson to have to share his birthday.  The bubble bath worked because today I haven't had any!  I told myself that I was going to take it easy today and not do anything but I guess my nesting instincts have kicked in because I've been cleaning like crazy!  I tried not to, I really did but it just made me so anxious.  All I have left is laundry.  Even nesting can't make me want to do laundry.  It's my most hated chore! 

Monkey Joes

For Memorial day we wanted to do something fun but were limited by my current condition (37 weeks pregnant).  Anything outside was out of the question because it's already over 90 degrees here in NC.  The children's museums both here and in Raleigh were both closed so that left only 1 thing for us to do.  MONKEY JOES!  The kids had a blast!  I got to sit the whole time so I was happy.  I thought for sure it would be crowded but I guess most people were doing outdoor activities because it really wasn't bad. 

This picture cracks me up!!  The centrifugal force pulled his chubby cheeks down.  I love it!

Hoping to start again

I haven't blogged for over a year!  I plan to start up again soon.  I'm not very good at it but it's fun to go back and read what I do have.  So for now I'll do a tiny up date on the kids.  Sadie is 4 now, sassy as heck, and SUPER smart.  Tyson is almost 3.  He's also very smart but too dang stubborn to show it.  He's ALL BOY.  Meaning he's loud, dirty, and just plain wild.  He has a sweet side too.  Especially when it comes to his sisters.  He is always defending his "Sadie bug/princess" even from bullies at the play ground.  He does not like people being mean to her.  He loves his baby sister even if I'm not entirely sure if he knows what's going on.  I'm almost 38 weeks pregnant with a baby girl (name to be announced later)  and I'm just ready to go.  My "goal" is to take 1 picture a day once she's here.  I say "goal" because I may be over estimating my abilities as a mom of 3.  We shall see!

I need to update our lives real quick.  So no pics.  That takes too long.  First Tyson,

He is REALLY testing my patience right now.  I'm not quite sure how to punish him at this point because I don't know what he understands.  He is being super naughty though so I need to do something. 

He spills his juice/milk/water everywhere.  On purpose.  If I leave the room for 2 seconds he has already successfully sprinkled the contents of his sippy on my computer or on the carpet/couch or wherever else he feels like it.

He started talking.  My favorite thing he says is "Nashty".  His first sentence was "Go away Momma". 

He is OBSESSED with anything shaped like a sphere and anything with wheels.

He loves cats.  He makes me watch YouTube videos of kittens crying as often as I'll give in. 

He loves the movie Spooky Buddies.  Anytime I ask him what he wants to watch he starts panting and thats what he wants.

All he wants to eat is gummy multivitamins and gum.  He will climb on the countertops to get "Um".  If I have some in my mouth he'll dig it out and steal it.  He dances when it's time for vitamins.  He likes to take 2.  1 for him and 1 for Sadie.  Even if she's at school. 

He started Nursery last month and hasn't had any problems.  He seems to love it! 

He only wants whatever Sadie has.  They fight ALL THE TIME.  I can't stand it.

He's a big helper.  He helps me load and unload the dishwasher and cook. 

He still loves hair.  When I pick him up from day care he is usually twirling a barbies hair in his ear.  Everyone loves it but me.  I can't ever do anything with my hair because he destroys it. 

Sadie always says "He has the cutest squishy face I ever saw in my whole life!"

Now her turn:

She just started preschool.  She loves it and is doing really well.  The only problem is that she brings home a LOT of papers and remembers everything so if I throw something away she'll be devastated.

She just became a Sunbeam in Primary.  I think she's still missing Nursery a lot especially Sister Robertson.  She loves her Sister Blevins though.  She makes me wait until Sis Blevins shows up.

She just started Tiny Tumblers gymnastics.  She is adorable in her Pink leotard.  She had a rough 1st day because she was a little behind the other girls but she has grown so much in just a few weeks.  I love watching her as she gets stronger and stronger.  She's a fast learner.  She's a lot like me in that way.  She has a strong desire to do things the way the coach wants them done.  She likes to follow the "rules".

She thinks she's a princess.  I tried to wash her hair in the sink and she yelled "Put me down!  I'm a princess!!"

That's all I can think of now!  I'll try to do better!

Trip to Southport!

 

Today we went to the beach!  It wasn't really planned so we sort of swam in our clothes.  It was a lot of fun until we got attacked by evil biting flies.  They swarmed us!  I wanted to go to Southport because I just finished the book Safe Haven (awesome book!) which is based in Southport.  They actually just finished filming the movie there (which I'm super excited to see!). 

I figured there would be beaches in Southport but apparently it is actually just a port.  Go figure!  We did find this narrow teeny tiny strip of sand so Sadie got her sand fix.  Tyson just wanted to swim!  The flies were awful though.  Southport was beautiful but the flies ruined it.  I don't think I'll go back.  We went to a nice outside restaurant that was overlooking the ocean.  The whole time getting bit over and over again.  It was miserable.  As soon as we got our food I had them put it in boxes so that we could eat in the car.  I couldn't handle it anymore!  Sadly, when I opened the car door and buckled the kids in like 20 flies got in the car.  The whole drive home I was getting bit.  Grrr...!  I HATE those flies!

It was so fun to be with the kids!  I enjoy spending time with those little cuties.  It's nice to feel like that rather than counting down the minutes until nap time. 

In other news!  Tyson is now 15 months old!  He has started to have an opinion about EVERYTHING.  I actually love it.  He either nods his head violently yes or violently no depending on what he wants.  It's cute.  He started folding his arms by pinching his wrist and he says Amen after.  He's so BIG!
