Just because

The look of love on her face as she watches her daddy pull up is priceless. As soon as she saw him she yelled "Dadda!" She's definitely a daddy's girl!

Myrtle Beach, SC

Day 2 of my sisters visit we went down to Myrtle Beach, SC. It's only a 2 hour and 20 minute drive from our house which isn't really that bad (unless you're pregnant). The drive was beautiful but I was pretty uncomfortable. I'm glad we went though. Unfortunately the weather wasn't ideal but we managed to have a good time regardless. There's lots to do at Myrtle Beach, there's the beach, outlet malls, the boardwalk, and the Ripley's Believe it or Not museum, and the Ripley's aquarium. We just did the beach, boardwalk, and museum. The museum was really cool. I learned how to make a shrunken head! So don't ask me if I'm having twins OR ELSE!

This week...

Jambaas Ranch

My sisters got into town on Thursday. One of the things that they wanted to do while they were here is go to Jambaas ranch. We had a lot of fun and Sadie was so brave to feed all the animals. She let a huge elk nibble on her fingers! There's no way I would do that. Even if they don't have top teeth!

Homemade Samoa's (Caramel de-lights)

I love girl scout cookies. Unfortunately, they keep getting more and more expensive and with that smaller and smaller. I bought a box because I was having major prego cravings for them but they disappeared quickly. Too quickly for my cravings to be completely satisfied. When I saw this recipe I was so happy. I HAD to try it. One word of warning would be to make sure you have a few hours to make these cookies because they are pretty time consuming. But they are totally worth it! Here is the link to the recipe http://bakingbites.com/2008/01/homemade-girl-scout-cookies-samoas/. Follow her advice and get good quality caramels. I didn't and the caramel part didn't stick to the cookie part very well. Oh well, they are still delicious :)

Things you DON'T say to a pregnant lady...

...and I mean EVER!
1. I couldn't even tell you were pregnant until a few weeks ago! (Obvious lies just add insult to injury)
2. You look like you are about to pop. (People generally don't "pop" this statement just makes you sound like a redneck)
3. Is there just ONE in there?! (I got this one today at my dentist visit) GRR...
4. When people hear how close together my kids will be in age they like to say "Did you mean to do that??" Yes I did and I'm a complete moron thanks for rubbing it in!
5. You look huge! -I KNOW THAT!
6. Should you be eating that?
7. Your boobs are huge!-Um, can you say sexual harassment?
8. Do you need to use the restroom?-I'm not 4. If I need to use the restroom I'll ask!
9. Oh wow that weight is going to be hard to work off later.
10. One more thing,
My eyes are up here! Please don't stare at the belly while you talk to me it makes me super self conscious. If its pokin' out from my shirt just tell me because I have no idea most of the time!

Dirty-Dirty

I like to measure how good my day is by how dirty I get. Since I'm pregnant and mostly just sit, now I measure how good our day is by how dirty Sadie gets. Hopefully Griffs mom feels the same way because as you can see in the picture Sadie was trying to help him on his way to being as dirty as possible. She thought it was a blast throwing wood chips and dirt down his back. It was cute the first time but then she became a bully and smothered the poor boy. I had to put her in time out at the park because she wouldn't leave him alone. It didn't work (surprise, surprise). If any parents out there know any tips on getting your toddler to obey I'm all ears! After putting her in time out she decided to bully me too.

Despite being a bully to Griff she really likes that boy. She's always very aware of where he is and what he's doing. I'm not sure if he even knows that she's alive.

They did have a nice hug or two. He even got comfortable enough to suck his thumb. For a second anyways. Sadie couldn't get enough of the hugging. She almost knocked him down once because she was hugging him so hard. I think I might have to worry about that little girl. After the park we got ice cream which only added to the layers of dirt I had to wash off of her. When we got home Dad took her outside where they played in the dirt. Then we had dinner and for dessert, Watermelon! She was a MESS!

These are her shoes after her fun/messy day.

The best thing about dirt is...It washes off!
